Kidgell Technologies Ltd was formed in 2003 by Steve Kidgell and Evelyn McCarthy. Steve worked for Beckman Coulter from 1990 as a Project Manager in the Laboratory Automation Operation, where he was responsible for installing, configuring and supporting a large number of LabManager LIMS systems throughout Europe and the Middle East.
With the sale of the LIMS business to InnaPhase Corporation, Steve set up Kidgell Technologies to provide services to the large user base of LabManager systems. Steve has a total of thirty years of experience working with LabManager.
Before joining Beckman, Steve worked on Real-Time data acquisition systems on HP1000 computers for Rolls-Royce plc.
Evelyn McCarthy graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and worked at Rothamsted Research Institute in the UK before moving into computing in the early 1990s.
Evelyn has trained in Computer Systems Validation and ISO 9000. She has worked on the validation of LabManager systems for a number of major pharmaceutical companies. Her experience in validation of software systems is wide-ranging, and also includes six years providing software verification and application support services to Canadian telecoms companies. She moved to Kidgell Technologies full time in May 2006, to provide support and validation services to customers and look after the company administration.
